Backstory: It is with reluctance I am listing my 1999 528itA for sale. This vehicle has very low miles, just 59,022 at time of writing. The first owner had the vehicle from new on May 15, 1999 until October 31, 2013 with just 44,565 miles. It has since passed through two other owners and came into my possession in October of 2015 with 57,880 miles. The previous owner decided to sell the vehicle after the expansion tank began to leak and without the knowledge of how to fix it didn't want to incur the shop cost. Having experience working on BMWs, and loving station wagons, I took on the project and have been enjoying the car since.
Reason for sale: While I do enjoy driving this car, I want to thin the herd a bit. I currently have 5 cars and want to sell off my BMWs with hope to use the money towards one which is ready to enjoy and more my style. Specifically, I am looking for a very clean e30.
The car, according to the build sheet:
1999 BMW 528it Automatic
Sahara Beige Metallic with Sandbeige Leather upholstery
Electric Glass Moonroof
Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror
Front Seat Heating
Xenon Lighting
Electric Seats with Driver memory
Park Distance Control in the rear
What I have done to the vehicle since purchasing:
10/11/2015 57,884 ECS Cooling System Kit +Accessory Belts+Bleeder screw
10/20/2015 58,000 Oil change - Rotella T6 & Mann filter
10/25/2015 58,150 Rear hatch and window struts (All 4) + Pass Rear Window Regulator
12/9/2015 58,723 Continental DWS tires installed
The Good:
No dead pixels on the cluster
No dead pixels on the radio
Rear window glass works perfectly and does not open up on its own randomly
What the vehicle needs soon:
Shocks - I would do all 4 corners as the vehicle is a bit bouncier than my other e39
Headlight Seals & Adjusters - As you will see in the pictures, the headlights get foggy. The passenger side headlight adjusters are very broken, but have been temporarily fixed with a few zip-ties. I have the seals and adjusters just haven't done the job yet.
Things that could be left alone or tackled later:
Front cupholder is broken as with most e39s
Passenger SideSkirt is dented
Few dents and dings around the car
Passenger front seat has a spot of the leather dye which has lifted and turned a greenish color.
