Schwarz 1987 325e Coupe - No Longer Available

    Schwarz 1987 325e Coupe

Up for sale is my beloved E30. It is beaten up, it has seen much better days, but she runs true, and I have driven her everyday for the past 4 years with no real problems.

I will start off with what she isn't:

She isn't a Show car. The passenger side fender is dented and the color is faded. The Rear driver side quarter panel is dented and rusted, and the tail light sits at an angle. The paint is almost 30 years old, and it shows. But it has character!

She isn't a track car. While E30s are known for their rallying roots, this one hasn't done that for a while. She has 255k miles on her.

She isn't dry. As a matter of fact, she is WET. She likes to leak fluids. A little oil here, and a little coolant there. I like to think of it as a way to mark my territory, know where I have been. There is no overheating issues or anything like that, but after 255k miles of use, the seals start to go bad, and things start to leak. I have also changed the oil every 5k miles with Castrol GTX High Mileage 20w-50.

    And what she is:

She is a reliable daily driver. As stated above, she has been driven everyday for the past 4 years, by a (mildly) responsible college student who has picked up lots of girls (they love the BMW) and has been on many roadtrips. Averages 25mpg mixed, 30mpg on the highway, and uses Regular unleaded. The registration is good through May 2017, and the tires have some good tread on them.

A fun car to hot rod around in. Stock from the factory, she came with 120 full blown German horsepower and 170lbs of German muscle (torque). After all of these years, it probably isnt up there still, but for how light the car is, you can have plenty of fun driving this car around.

She's a classic. Over the years, I have gotten many compliments on this car, even in the shape the body is in. Its a classic body style, which (in my opinion) is one of the best BMW has ever produced.

She's cheap and easy to work on. Thats right. A cheap BMW to work on? I know both of those things are not synonymous with the BMW name, but back in the 80s, things were more simple, its a straight 6 motor with nothing more, and nothing less. Parts are still made as these cars are very collectible now, and the engine bay is massive!

She is perfect for a college student who wants a car to go to the grocery store, or to drive back home, or just wanted a car to learn how to wrench on. It would also be a great candidate for someone looking for a car to drive while another is in the shop being worked on!

I am looking for $1500 for this totally drive-able, love-able beautiful piece of German engineering. Please email with your telephone number, and we can set up a time to meet.

Also, if you are inclined to repair the car, I can throw in a replacement core support and rear quarter panel which you may pick up in San Bernardino county.

    List Date: 7/18/2016
