    FS: 9185 325e w/ M50

    Hi Guys,

    Had this up for sale on another forum earlier, never really pushed it ... here goes;

    the mods;

    1994 325is Motor with 9000KM's since the swap, the head was pulled off to check internals and then all new gaskets were put in... so A1 shape! Swap was done this March 06.

    Motronix Cold Air Intake

    Motronix Short Shifter 65% reduction in throw

    Genie Shorty Headers, custom built 2.5 " exhaust, new 1 week old hi-flo cat and Magnaflow dual 3" tip muffler. Muffler went on the car in June.

    eurethane tranny mounts

    //M Tech pedals

    //M shift knob

    grant steering wheel w/ bmw horn button

    3.73 limmited slip differential

    intrax lowering springs - 1.6" drop - put in during the swap

    Bilstein sport Shocks - put in during the swap

    stainless steel braided teflon coded brake lines - July 06

    Brembo Cross drilled rotors - new July 06

    Suspenson Techniques Swap bar kit - new July 06

    Rear CNC Billet Aluminum Shock mounts w/ Eurethane bushings - July 06

    New 17" x 7" Black with Polished Lip BBS Replica rims w/ 205/40/17
    Nexxen 3000 tires - July 06.

    Custom fabricated hi beam vented insert grills to allow nice air flow!

    The exterior colour is Polaris Metallic Silber and is an 8 / 10 The interior is cloth sports seats, charcoal grey/black - i have never seen another set like them... the driver's side is ripped, but the rest is in MINT shape, I'd say 7/10 due to the driver's seat, but if it was fixed, a 9 for sure. The car has two small spots of rust... just starting , not rotten... one is on the hood around the emblem as some dumb ass scratched it when he was stealing the emblems and the other is on the driver's side bottom pannel, paint chipped and it's got a spot.

    The car has been in my family since 85, it was my mothers car and she never really drove it. The body has about 340,000 km's on it. The car was in North Carolina from 1992 - 1998 and I never drove it in the winter when I moved back to Toronto.

    The car is VERY solid and VERY clean. I am getting married in October and have no place to store the car, so if I could, i'd keep the car to be honest. The car pulls nicely and I still get 480 - 500 Km's per tank of gas!

    I am looking to get a fair price for the car's condition and the work done to it. I am looking for $ $7250.00 usd obo.

    I will post pics as soon as I get home this evenig.

                    I can speak from my experience. Ive "imported" my Canadian spec car (86 325e) to the US. I grew up in Canada, and we got the Bimmer through the European delivery program, but it is built to Canadian specs with Canadian Emissions stickers on it.

                    The US and Canadian versions are very similar (same bumpers, same emissions, etc) , that all we needed was a letter/fax from BMW stating that the car complies with all EPA regulations for the US, which BMW Canada happily provided. You call BMW Canada and they produce this letter, based on the VIN. Now the fact that the engine has been swapped on this car may not be noticed if they don't look under the hood at the US border, I don't know how that might go in this case.

                    The other issue, is that they may also make an issue of the fact that the speedomer is in Kilomoters, not Miles. In my case they let that go did not make us change it. However in the meantime I have changed it myself to miles since my speedometer stopped working anyway and I needed to replace it.

                    Last but not least, they wanted to Tax my car in the US when it is being imported. However, since an 86 was no longer in their book (and this was in 1995) they said value 0.00 and I did not get charged any tax in the US.

                    BTW I now have my car registered in California, and there were no issues there, other than just having to pass smog (which was a pain especially last year when the test became using a Dyno).

                    Hope this helps, and good luck with the sale.
