    WTB e30 manual Vert

    Good morning guys,

I absolutely love the work some of you have done to your cars and the e30 has been my dream car ever since I was little, the m3 is out of my price range still so I'm currently saving up for a 325ic.

Preferrably and this is a long shot but I am looking for either an

    1) alpine white on dark blue or red interior.
    2) graphite type color with red interior or brown
    3) dark blue or light bluish color with a brown or beige interior
    4) calypso red with dark blue, black, brown/beige or red interior

Preferrably under 80k miles and in good running condition with no rust. Color, rust and mileage is my most important factor as I can always replace the interior. I've seen a few selling for anywhere from $2,500 - $10,000 for these packages.

If anyone is going to be in the market anytime soon to be getting rid of their baby and has any of these qualifications please send me info and I hope that we could strike a deal.

Again this may be a bit of a fantasy request here but I have time to save and to search but thank you very much for your attention and your time today.

If you're willing to consider cars with over 80K I don't think you'll have too difficult a time to find a match. I purchased a 92 325ic with 120K, white/blue for $6k. No rust, but the interior needed replacing. Just to give you a comp as you're searching for a car.

Be willing to ship the right car. I've bought both my E30s sight unseen from trustworthy sellers.

If that's not a bad thing then yes please more thoughts on the higher mileage. I am not in any way a car guru, would love to get down to the nitty gritty and take apart this thing and put it back together over the next few months to learn everything I can about it because dream car so I'm not worried there. I'

m not mechanically inclined in any way though so pardon if I in any way just sound confused and don't know what I taking about. I don't :) so when it comes to the purchase of such a vehicle I was advised that 80k or less I may be looking at less problems down the line vs a higher mileage.

I already after reading what most people gave done will be putting in the sway bar if I'm not mistaken, the sports suspension, a turbo and etc that I've seen work that won't entirely need too much maintenance so maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing and need a beater, maybe buy a new engine and go for there.

How hard is this to actually pick up and do or am I just being hopeful and delusional and instead save up for a finished product someone already tuned and did the work on :/?

I responded on another forum for WTB convertibles. These are freshly posted on CL. I live in Milwaukee area. Not connected to sellers in any way - but these did catch my eye:

These should give you a reference for price/condition/add-ons. Provided these descriptions are accurate (which I would verify in person if at all possible), I think the prices are pretty fair. IMO e30 convertibles are “spirited cruisers” - they can be very fun and engaging to drive, but it just doesn’t have the rigidity unless you’re going to spend some resources to stiffen up the body. If you’re serious about modifying and maximizing the driving experience, there are plenty of good coupes and even sedans for modest prices that could have some of the features that you want.

Low mileage cars have definite appeal, but may be problematic particularly if they haven’t been run much in recent years. High mileage cars can be great guilt free drivers provided they have been properly maintained. In short, don’t judge a book by the cover - get as much info as you can from the seller and if something doesn’t seem to smell right, move on. There will always be another one coming up for sale shortly.

Good luck - and have fun in your “new” e30.
