    WTB: Toyota Pickup 3rd-5th Gen(79-95)

Looking for a clean Toyota pickup in the PNW Area.
Preferably 4cyl 5spd, miles dont matter.

Would prefer clean interior and clean body, free of rust. But exceptions can be made depending on merits of other places of the car, swapped engines, etc.

Cash up to ~6K, replacing my Suzuki Samurai, so id prefer options that are close to the condition samurai is in, its bad if a toyota pickup is significantly more uncomfortable then a lifted suzuki samurai on old 30s.

Yes I know this is an E30 forum, just in case any of you 4x4 friends in the area are selling or know anyone selling.

I think there is a good following of old toyota fans on this forum.
I bought this 1990 22re,5 speed,4wd, 215k miles last year in Manteca, CA for $3500. Its in fantastic shape with no rust. It made the drive back to NY easily. It was on craigslist unsold for about 3 weeks before I got to it and i think it was a good deal on my part considering modified rust buckets in the northeast go for 5k+. There are deals to be found. The older trucks fetch more $ and are harder to find obviously but i think you will find what youre looking for at that price if youre patient.

Nothing, its actually one of the better cars I've owned. I just want something I can turn into more of a camp vehicle/offroader that can be driven cross country without breaking my ass.

Any reason you only want pickups and not tacomas? I am assuming for looks. Be aware that the early V6s have head gasket issues and are sloowwwwww. I had a super clean 2nd gen 5speed 4runner and I just couldn't stand driving it, plus it used oil like crazy.

I would look for a swapped pickup with a 3.4 or get a pre-facelift Tacoma (95-00). Personally I think all 1st gens look good when built but that's just me. My 02 with 33's and stock gearing rides amazing, has plenty of power, can tow up to 5k, and is the perfect do all DD for year long duty in the Northeast. Good luck on your search!
(P.S keep that Samurai, you'll wish you kept it someday)

            The price.

Find me a sub 250k miles 3.4 taco for under 10k that isnt trash, its not really plausible.

And the pickups all look better, I think the 3.0 woes are overrtold, essentially a meme at this point, but I was more looking for 22res.
