Its time to sell my beloved e30 coupe. I've owned the car for 5 years having first purchased it from Levent at Guten Parts in NJ where I am from, before driving it out to Boulder Colorado four years ago where it has lived since. Originally a CT car, I have added 33,500 miles of the ~135,700 it has now. The prior two owners did an extensive build including swapping a super eta motor with powder coated plenum and strut tower brace, new clutch and flywheel, Z3 shifter, Nardi flat bottom steering wheel, all new suspension (bushings, bilstein shocks, H&R springs) and most notably a full Italian red leather interior including door panels and the center console.
In my five years of ownership I have:
Replaced the dim headlights with brand new OEM units from Bav auto along with their HID kit for the low beams (I never loved the look of smilies) protected with Lamin-x film (clear for the low beams and yellow for the high beams).
Rebuilt the AC system by an AC specialist (no one could get it ice cold but now its great)
Had the stereo completely rewired after chasing an alternator whine (consists of a new Pioneer bluetooth headunit with 4v preamp outputs, custom 10" box making the trunk smaller but very stock looking, 4 ch amp driving components front and rear)
Added Race Skids skid plate to protect the drivetrain
Replaced the battery and alternator
Accessory belts
Had the 15" euro weaves refurbished
And added a yakima roof rack with the period correct wind deflector
The car runs and drives well and is relatively well sorted
The bad:
Rust in several of the typical places such as pretty much the whole rear valence as well as below the rear window on the driver's side and in front of the rear wheels both on the arch and on the sills. My mechanic here in Boulder says that the floors still look good and for the right person this is definitely repairable. Alternatively you could take everything off of this car and build a clean car with a donor shell, or just drive it as is. The interior alone was over 10k and I have about 20k in it myself. It was an absolute show car when I bought it but I've used the car and it now could use some love to bring it back to that state.
I absolutely love this thing but I have an e46 M3 and I recently got a 98 estoril M3/4/5 and just don't have the time, money, or space for all three.
Asking $9,000
