Hey guys, I'm getting to old and lazy for this shit. Time to get something kooshy and new(ish)

I am thinking somewhere in the $8000 range but open to negotiation. Bought the car almost 10 years ago from a forum member. I have been into pretty much every nook and cranny of the car in that time, not saying it's perfect or that I fixed everything, just that I've been there.

    Body-exterior:
-schwarz paint in decent shape. It shines nicely but is definitely 30+years old and is a little thin in spots so care must be take while detailing.
    - glass is good, new windshield a couple years ago, has a chip in it already
-wheels are bronze ltw5 15" with 225 rubber
    -early Euro bumpers
-smoked hella Euro lights, one high has broken lens and busted bulb. Lows have hid
    - could use new grills
-rain gutter trim flew away with the birds, other trim is shadowlined

    Interior:
-black dyed carpet, it's in rough shape but looks decent
    - black vinyl recovered sport seats and matching rear. Zoom zoom zooming
    - cracked dash, obv
    - houndstooth door panels with 6.5 inch speakers installed.
    -late model window lift mechanisms
    - blackline steering wheel
    - zhp shift knob
    -black headliner
    -power sunroof conversion

    Engine/drivetrain:
    -s52b32 from automatic m3
    -markert tune
    -m50 intake manifold
-m3 transmission with new dual mass flywheel and clutch
    -revshift engine and transmission mounts
    - rebuilt '87 325e driveshaft
-custom exhaust (sounds good but smells real bad)
    -z3 1.9 shift lever
-regreased half shafts and installed new boots
    -ie aluminum radiator
    -front mounted fan with thermostat
    -944 booster
-new oil filter housing gasket when swapped, for peace of mind
    -vanos shimmed

    Suspension/steering:
    -hr sport
    -bilstein sport
-e36 m3 steering rack, can't recall exactly which one
-rear end bushings replaced a couple months ago
    -e30 m3 offset cabs

If there's more I've forgotten it.

    Some known cons:
-exhaust, I don't think it leaks but gd does it smell bad. Car has no ac so windows down and it comes around front. I am thinking a bigger cat would help.
-little rust, the rain gutters had some rust when I bought it and I did my best to get rid of it and encapsulate it. When I did the engine swap there was a hole in the firewall below the cowl drain about the size of a nickel, I applied por 15 generously and left it. The trunk seal lip likewise has some little spots of rust, when I recently replaced the seal I cleaned it up as best as I could and encapsulated it. The worst spot is in the jack well in the trunk. You can see some daylight. Structurally i don't think it's any issue, but full disclosure that's the stuff I know about.

Car has nearly 200k on the odometer. The engine probably has a little less than that, but not a lot less.

Please let me know if you are interested. I will try to get pics up asap. Sorry about any typos, cell phone.

I had an S52 E30 with no AC. No cat on my exhaust. Drove it for years and years like that. Didn't suffer from any heavy exhaust smells. Maybe it's something else?

Yeah I'm not sure what the cause is.

Good deal and good looking car. Wish I had the funds to come down and scoop it up right now. GLWS

Would you consider trades for an e90?

              Yeah

If it has an egg smell....mostly likely cats. On my e36, I changed the O2 sensors etc. CEL would come on every now and then but would still pass smog. Phantom code would point to the cats and yeah smell was there. I think ultimately the original 20 year old cats need to be replace but I am still tinkering.

It's not eggy really, it's hard to describe really. I need to get an old Port wired in so I can check for codes. Wondering if it's running too lean.
