It seems like I'm not the only person looking for one of these but I'm in the market for a 325is that is 1989 or newer (I don't want one with the aluminum bumpers). I'd like a car that has been looked after and is mechanically solid. Minor cosmetic issues are fine.
I'm located in the Los Angeles area and would ideally like to take a look at the car before purchase but if that's not possible, I can also travel within a 500 mile radius for the right car. Just be sure to send me lots of pictures!
I'm willing to pay up to $9,000 but here's what I don't want:
1. rust
2. any major mechanical problems
3. over 200k miles
4. paint in poor condition
Also, please be honest with me about the condition of your car. I plan on getting a pre-purchase inspection before making any sort of offer so please let me know about any problems with your car upfront. I recently had to cancel a purchase of a 325i because the seller blatantly lied to my face (PPI results confirmed this) and I don't want to go through the same ordeal.
