I am selling my beautiful M42 powered E30 in very clean original Alpinwiess paint. I am only selling it because I was able to find an iX that I desperately needed.
Let me start by saying this car runs and drives fantastic. This M42 is an amazing motor and it drives and feels like a modern car.
While owning this car I have hardly had to do any maintenance, except for quality of life changes such as CV boots or tie rods. I change the oil very frequently and this car has been driven semi-daily since I've owned it. It is just such a fun car to drive, and its as comfortable as it gets!
This car is 100% bone stock except for the taillights and air filter, both which were not my choice but I also just decided to leave it alone.
The A/C, heater, etc work and is the original R12 system. The OBC works except for burnt out backlight. CRACKLESS DASH. All body panels have matching VIN numbers, dash including.
ASKING $4000 OBO
The following has been done recently:
New tires
New tie rods with alignment
New timing chain tensioner
New valve cover gasket
New oil filter housing gasket
"Mess Under the Intake M42" cleanup
New glove box latch
New TPS
New AFM
New Pioneer stereo with bluetooth, Alpine speakers with tasteful small amp/sub
New O2 sensor
New spark plugs/wires
Regular oil changes with filters
The bad:
Dings and dents here and there
Driver seat not quite perfect -- other seats perfect
Driver door lock busted
Insulation on underside of hood crumbling away
Odometer gears bad
Small oil leak near front of engine
I think I have covered most of it. The car drives amazing, I hope you will come and test drive it!
