Odometer stopped. Body has roughly 170,000 Engine has roughly 75,000 miles. These mileage figures are all estimates due to the odo gears failing. Though I feel that they are pretty accurate. This car is always garaged. I own two other vehicles, I drive this car the most but not every day. Always Garage kept!
Bought this car in April 05. Engine failed due to oil pump failure in Dec 05. Jan 06 I purchased 67,000 mile engine out of 93 convertible.
When I changed the engine I had a rebuilt head installed, new timing belt and water pump, and new oil pump. ( of course all the related gaskets as well )I had the work done by a BMW mechanic. This car runs fantastic.
The paint on this car still shines up nice. Though it does have dings and chips that are typical of a car this age. The worst of it being chipping along the leading edge of the hood and a rust spot on the drivers rear wheel arch. I had the front and rear bumpers painted to match the car about 4 months ago. For whatever reason BMW painted all the bumpers on schwartz cars d-schwartz in 89. Car has BBS side skirts, 15 inch euroweaves, magna flow exhaust, and 4 new Falken tires.
The interior is a strong 8 out of 10 in this car. It is all cardinal leather. With the front seats being sports out of a convertble. No rips or tears in the leather at all. The bolster on the drivers seat is a little faded but not torn. The knee bolster on the passenger side has gotten very stiff ( the leather ). Perfect crack free dash. Alpine CD/MP3 in dash head unit with remote. Premium sound. Great dark grey carpet. The sunroof is not working. It is closed and does not leak though.
This car has a mild shimmy/vibration on hard breaking. I just replaced left front control arm and bushing yet this persists. If I were to keep the car I would definitely upgrade the suspension as it rides at its stock ride hight. And I think it would benefit from new bushings all around.
