    non-running 325is

i know this is my first post but im not out to scam anybody...

this is my brothers car (in my dads name) so i have some limited information but if theres interest ill pass along his number.

its an e30 325is, 5 speed, black on black. mileage and exact year im not too sure about (circa 89). it looks fine, paint is in decent condition, little dents/rock chips etc but nothing major.

it doesnt run. it was running then the timing belt blew and it wouldnt start up (from what he said). no idea if theres any further damage from the timing belt going though.

new suspension...if i remember it has new shocks, bushings and all that (OEM stuff).

umm...thats about it. its been sitting at my brohters friends house up near sanata clarita, ca (by magic mountain). it doesnt run so it will have to be towed. itd be good for a project or jsut fix it if you want.

title is clean and in my dads name. if we dont get a reasonable offer, hell probably just take a write off as a donation. talked to the tax man who said theyll give blue book if its donated running or not. i dont know.

lemme know if anybody wants it. email omen2853 AT yahoo DOT com

that address is the best way to contact.

well considering he just shelled out 2400 for new suspension and misc. stuff...im thinking he'll be satisfied in the area of $1700.

youre basically buying a car that just needs and engine....and a wash.

sorry to break it to ya but that really isnt gonna fetch $1700.. as matt said, its way to much of an asking price for a car with no engine..

cars w/no motor go for 5-700. The economics do not allow anyone to pay less. Unless done at home it'll cost $1k to put an engine in + cost and transport of a replacement engine. OR up to 2k for a head rebuild. Plus incidental costs like towing.
Car would have to be near perfect for someone to shell out 1700.
