WTB: e30 touring

after much thought, I have decided to cancel the quest for an e30 touring! I have talked to multiple people who have given me alot of great information, but I really can't justify spending $20,000(shipping and federalization costs) on an e30! I will just have to settle for some other car produced for the U.S. market.

Unfortunately, this is usually what happens to these quests for a Touring.

The way to do it is to import it to Canada, and register it there to a rented mailbox (e.g. mailboxes etc.). Have the registration forwarded from the rented box to your real address. Then you can drive accross the boarder on Canadian plates. You'll just have to keep doing this for about the next 7 or 8 years.

Close, but here's a better idea.
Ship it to Canada and register it there. Once you have the car, drive on over to the states and switch VIN plates with a junker 4-door, and continue registering the touring with the sedan VIN.

This is Chris Langsten, your M3 is currently at our shop.
I know of a Touring that may be for sale here in the states. It is a 100% legal car that has been vey well maintained since it was brought into this country. It has low mileage (sub 100k). Its a very rare blue color, from the factory.
