1989 325iX FS in Michigan with lots of pics (56k beware)

    1989 BMW 325 iX
    168,xxx miles
Black with fleck paint (DiamanteSchwarz)(not sure if I spelled that right)
    Auto trans
    Four wheel drive (not working)
i Sport Seats (tan leather interior)

    Good:
    New timing belt
    New Thermostat
    New head gasket,head bolts
    New Exhaust gaskets/studs/nuts
    New spark plugs
    New Water pump
    New Fuel lines
New Belt tensioners and star nuts

    The Bad:
Rust in trunk jack storage, and starting in rear door sills
    Needs exhaust
Tires not bad but should be changed out within the next 6 months
    Spare rim bent
    **4wd doesn't work
**Drivers side front axle needs to be replaced

    Extras:
Extra hub caps (hard to find and expensive)
    Original non-sport heated seats

I bought this car thinking that I could live with an auto trans, I know this is wrong now. It blew a rocker arm on a trip from Waterford to Kalamazoo. I replaced the rocker arm and a lot of the general maintanence stuff to get this thing moving again. The car runs well after the maintanence. The car looks good and runs well. The original heated seats are ok cosmetically but the drivers seat is bent or something and not comfortable to sit in.

**EDIT - New Price $1400 OBO**

I don't want to bust on your F.S. thread, but you have to know someone that has a garage you can thaw that car out and take some dry pictures.

My dad might be interested in this, I'll keep you posted. There is another one in our town, an '88 325iX 5 speed two door we might also be looking at, so it we might have to decide between the two.

Wow. The brutal Michigan Winters eh?
Good Deal. I would be interested if I could see the dry / non-ice shots of the rust. But no worries....if you don't sell it, I'll take it .

                  Let me know.

So I found out that the 4wd doesn't work on Friday and the drivers side front axle is probably going to fail in the next 5 miles based on the grumbling it was doing on Saturday. So because of all this new price is $1400 obo
