WTB: Decent Socal e30 - $2k budget

My friend is looking for a car to get him from point A to point B, so he isn't looking for anything extreme in price. With that in mind, I'm looking to buy a decent e30 in good mechanical shape for around $2,000. Thanks. :D

EDIT: I should mention that I'd like for it to be a manual and not an automatic.

yea the lagoon is auto for a few more weeks. It will still be forsale but the price will be more after its 5spd and after i get a few more things 100%. Unless your friend wants to double his budget i wont sent any more info.

A buddy is going to be selling a 90 325i but it's an auto. 153k, new shocks, new control arm bushings, new rear shock mounts, and a few other little things. It's not a show car but would be a perfect DD. Crack free dash too. I think he wants $2500.
