WTB: 4DR 5Spd 325i

At last the time has nearly come for me to finally pick up my first E30. After 4 Honda's, it's definitely time for some German excellence. Here is what I'm looking for, keep in mind I will be purchasing exactly 2 months from today:

Location: Princeton, Massachusetts
Budget: $4500 Max Cash in hand
Very willing to travel for the right car


Preferred: 89-91 4 door <300k Makes the most sense for me
Alternate: Any 325i, late 318's

Not Looking for: Autos, rusty perforated sheet metal, salavaged, etas, early 318's

Just wanted to get this out there, and see what people have. I am not looking for a $6000+ car that is done, I am planning on putting my own touch on the car. If you are not ready to sell right now, but will be in 5 days, keep me in mind.

Damn I wish I had my car running at the moment.

But in case you are still interested, here are some brief details:

- 1989 325i
- 5 speed
- 78k original miles
- Bronzit exterior/tan cloth comfort interior (unsightly drivers seat)
- No accidents, no major dents or dings (but some minor blemishes here and there)
- Everything works with the exception of the drivers side rear window

As it sits, it needs its two rear rocker arms replaced, which is a task I have been saving for springtime. It will be replaced before the summer for sure though. But if you are mechanically inclined, then this wouldn't be a difficult task either. I'd like to finish the repair myself anyways just so that I can say I've done that before.

I really can't seem to find anything available....whats the deal with e30's? Is it even possible to find any for sale that are not yet immaculate?

been tossing around the idea of moving out of e30's for some e39 love. Located in CT. Specs:

89 325i 166K
black on black m3 interior
H+R, bilstein sports, ansa sport
Ronal LS's
is front spoiler
m-tech 1 rear spoiler

Im the third owner, adult owned for the first 11 years of lits life until i bought it in 2000 with 105K on it. Original paint is decent, some small door dents and other expected blemishes. My mechanic is a master BMW tech and has been with BMW since 1969. The man can assemble a 2002 or e30 blindfolded.

Maintenance at 120K
-Ansa exhaust
-New cat

Maintenance at 140K
-Timing belt
-new rocker arms and new cam (basically the top end was completely redone)
-cap/rotor
-OEM pads and rotors

Maitenance at 160K
-Bilstein/H+R combo
-rear wheel bearings
-all hoses replaced
-rebuilt rack installed
-new tie rods and control arms

Maintenance at 165K
-front wheel bearings
-guibo replacement
-rear subframe mounts
-Valve cover gasket
-shifter bearings redone (no slop whatsover)
-SS brake lines

There is a ton of other stuff i cant remember. Ive put less than 5K on this car in the last two years. I rarely drive it, and it doesnt make sense for me to keep maintaining a car i dont use/need. The car has a bunch of other little touches too, like chrome e32 headlight surrounds, leather boot and ebrake handle, europlate filler, etc, etc, etc...This is a feeler, im not sold on the idea of selling my first "baby", but i figured i throw it out there.

I had to look for several months to find mine. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=82985 If car is in Victorville (high desert), rust won't be a factor on this car.
