FS: 1989 325i Rebuilt motor in Cincinnati, OH asking $4250 obo

Ok, I am selling my car. I purchased it back in April last year from an ASE Certified Tech in Cleveland, Ohio. The engine was freshly rebuilt by him and a certified BMW technician about 10,000 miles ago and it runs very well. I have done nothing but maintain it since I've purchased it so I am going to basically copy the old for sale post from the other seller. Right now the only things wrong with it are a bad alignment, and the heater works intermittently. I just replaced the blower motor and it worked for a day or two and now it only comes on every so often. I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with it. I have replaced the switch, the fuses, and the blower motor and nothing has gotten it to work constantly.

    I am asking $4250

    Here are the stats.

    Vitals:
    5 speed
    2 door
~175,000 original miles (It is now at 185,000)
    3.73 open differential
    Black exterior
    Black leather interior
    Sunroof
Passed Ohio E-Check in September '05 after all the work was completed

    Work performed by previous owner:
    All new seals/gaskets in engine
    3 angle valve job
    Piston rings
    Oil pump
    Bosch updated design fuel injectors
    Fuel filter
Fuel Pump (OEM dealer part. Not cheapy aftermarket)
    Rocker shafts and arms
    Valve springs
    Water pump
    All new coolant hoses
    Timing belt
    OEM BMW Bosch spark plugs
    Driveshaft guibo
    Driveshaft center bearing
Tranny input, output, and selector seals
Clutch, slave cylinder, bearings, slave cylinder hydraulic hose
    Ground flywheel
    Reman. steering rack
    Outer tie rods
    Reman OE Front Calipers
    Rebuilt rear calipers
New pads, and rotors all around
    Stainless Steel D.O.T. brake lines
BimmerWorld Wheel studs, chrome lugnuts, wheel locks (no more pesky wheel bolts)
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 15x7 wheels
Z3 1.9 short shifter and all new bushings/hardware
    Keyless Entry with 2 Remotes
    New windshield

    Problems/Downfalls:
Minor rust on bottom of passenger fender (It's been in Northern Ohio for 17yrs. I'd say its above average for rust from other E30's I've seen around.)
Original black paint shows it's age (cleaned up nice after one buff job)
One of the original speakers in the front is busted
    Hairline fracture in right highbeam
A/C system was removed by previous owner
Driver's door lock sometimes doesn't operate power locks. - I hear it is common on E30's. Remedied with keyless entry.

    Plusses:
Interior is nearly immaculate for an 18 yr old car. Seats are in good condition.
    No cracks in the dash.
Car has NEVER seen a body shop
Lots of little spare parts (Alternator, Filters, bulbs, fluids, hardware, brake parts, seals, etc.)

Here are some pictures of her.

Here are the pictures the previous owner sent to me when I purchased the car.
The wheel and knob will not be included. OEM ones will be on at the time of sale

Let me know what you guy's think.

Do you have an aftermarket radio in it? Does the fuse pop? Check the wiring from your fan switch, as it may be chafing. Also check the condition of your fan resistor behind/below the blower motor.

I'm 99% sure this is the problem. I have replaced the blower motor, the fan switch (and whole panel), and checked the resistor's. They all seem and look fine. I don't think it'll be a hard fix, just a matter of finding it. I don't have the time however, and have already been driving around a replacement for a couple of months. This is good news for the buyer since it spent the cold snowy wintry months sitting in my mom's garage.

Thanks for the tips though, I appreciate it.

Is car still available? it looks good in pics, although the front tires look very worn (alignment issues noted), does the car shimmy or shake at highway speeds? very interested. please reply Paul F.

The car is still available. As far as on the highway, it will drive straight if there are no ruts in the highway. If there are, it'll pull you into them (once again, I'm pretty sure this is the alignment). To the best of my memory it did not shake or shimmy when I drove it down to Cincinnati.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
