    FA: Cheap 1987 325is

Car is available immediately for pick-up.

    Details:

    1987 325is
    Black exterior
    ~270k miles on the chassis
    ~170k miles on the driveline
Grey M3 interior (seats & door panels) Seats are a 6.5-7 out of 10.

    The good:
3.73 LSD in good/great condition, never abused on the street for burnouts/slides/clutch drops etc.
New clutch/throw out bearing 30k miles ago.
Oil & filter changed every 3000 miles
In December '06 it received 4 new Brembo Rotors & Mintex Red Box pads
It has a 25mm brake master cylinder
New windsheild 2 years ago with shadowline lock strips front & rear.
    CD/MP3/WMA/XM ready radio
    Premium speakers all around
e36 window switch conversion - No cut wires, 100% reversable
Crinkle coated valve cover with polished letters/stripes
    Clear coated intake manifold
    K&N air filter
    Hella H1/H4 headlights
Brake cooling plates with 2.5" inlet pipe
    E30 M3 rear sway bar

    The bad:
Paint is a 6/7 out of 10 - will clean up nicely with a good cut polish/wax, but its not good overall.
Stock suspension (M3? springs & Boge shocks) Shocks need replacing
14" bottlecap wheels with 80% worn winter tires - No other wheels/tires included
'88+ front airdam swap, but it is slightly bent
'88+ front bumper swap - wrong shocks, cracked bumper cover, no side mounts for bumper.
Dashboard is cracked in 2 places
Headliner has a small "L" cut in the sunroof panel cover.
    No ebrake lever
Drivers side window is finiky, unsure if it is part of the e36 window switch swap or something else.
Cracked paint on the 'iS' rear trunklid lip.
R'Active muffler welded on with a Y pipe. Fairly noisey....
Missing the rear view mirror adjustment control.
Rear speakers are not wired up. You'll need to run wires from the headunit back.

Pictures, yes you want to see pictures. I will get them up as soon as I can...

Fielding - Sounds good. You're local and this would suit your needs perfectly. I drove it all winter and never had a problem. The higher ride height is perfect for snow too ;)

Keith - Got the PM, will post pictures here as soon as I get a chance to wash the car and take pictures.

        Thanks,
        Chris

Suhweet. Sounds good man. I need the 6 anyways just to survive driving at elevation. Living at 7-8000 feet is going to kill the little bit of power my 318 has.

I also forgot to mention the following:

            Positives:
-New Nissens radiator 2 winters ago
-Will include a non-airbag(?) stock non-M steering rack
-Will include a damaged but possibly repairable fiberglass breyton front airdam
-New OEM subframe bushings 4 years(~30k miles) ago

            Negatives:
No foglights & no wiring for 88+ fogs
Shift knob is a wooden BMW knob, and can pop off
AFM could use a cleaning, its sticky/jerky on cold starts
Slight mis-fire on really cold mornings that goes away after 30seconds of run time.
Steering wheel shakes between 55-65mph. I'm chalking this up to the near dead winter tires...

            It should probably get:
-Timing belt/water pump/tensioner to be on the safe side.
            -Check the control arms/tie rods

                $800/obo
$750 for anyone local who can pick it up and pay in cash.

I will entertain all reasonable offers... seriously, don't be afraid to post of PM me. I want it gone and out of my driveway.

Still available... M3 steering rack has been removed since it appeared to be leaking, and has been replaced with a stock 325i rack.

$650 takes this thing away... otherwise I'm stripping it for parts and sending it to the crusher.
