    WTB: Decent condition 5spd E30

    All I'm looking for is a decent daily driver - no garage queens or 'unfinished projects.'
    I'd actually prefer a 325e, but I'll consider any model 318i/is (early M10 or late M42), or any RWD 6-cyl.
    Nothing too rusty. I can deal with a little bit in the typical trouble spots, but nothing with serious rot or underbody surface rust.
    Coupe or sedan, doesn't matter - just no convertibles, please.
    Must have a manual transmission though.
    Paint colors, interior colors/fabrics, options, metal vs. plastic bumpers, etc make no difference.
    Normal wear and tear maintenance issues don't bother me, just no body/paint work or major repairs needed to get the car on the road.

    Located in eastern MA, Sudbury during the week and usually the South Shore on weekends. Willing to drive a reasonable distance (~100 miles or so) to view cars.

    Let me know what you guys have around here.

                          you can take my 1989 325i 5 speed off my hands... she is young, at a mere 73k iirc, bronzit/tan cloth, no rust, no major body damage, no accidents. paint is decent, although clear is fading away in some parts. recently replaced cat with a newsd cat, and it has a IE stainless catback. i think that roughly sums it up.

                          the bad:
                          - two snapped rockers at the firewall end of the motor (so i hear its an easier fix)
                          - usual pitting and cracks on ellipsoids
                          - front valance has plenty of chips in the paint
                          - a teenie weeny (~1/8" dia) hole was drilled into the rear quarter, close to the taillight.


                          so i suck at pricing, what do you think is fair for this car?

                              To answer Fred's question, my budget is around $2,000-2,500 max, hence only looking for a "decent" E30.

                              And just to clarify, I'm definitely not willing to travel more than 100 miles or so for a car. My search is basically limited to MA, RI, CT, and southern NH.
