FS: 1991 318is - Your shot at an 88k car

I regret selling this in more ways than you can imagine, but I have come to a time in my life when I simply cannot suffice without a 4x4 car. I will be moving out west to Jackson Hole Wyoming as of September for the next couple of years, and rwd just isnt going to cut it when it snows upwards of 400-500 inches a year.

Anyways onto the details. This car is one of only a handful left in the country with under 100k original miles, and currently sits at approximately 88,000 miles (I still drive it 3 miles each way to work each day). Believe you me, it drives exactly how you would expect an 88k car to drive, which is basically perfect. This car has seen road salt only once in its entire lifetime, and only then it was for 1/2 an hour and 20 miles when I took it out of winter storage this past April during a freak snowstorm (my only chance to do so over spring break) . I immediatly washed the car as soon as the snow stopped and it got above freezing. This car is completely rust free, clean, and a rare find. I have taken meticulous care of this car including constant maintenance and care. I have waxed the car once a month, change the oil every 2500 miles, etc just to give you an idea of how anal I really am about this car.

Onto the mods/maintenance - all of which have been done within the last year and a half under my ownership covering approximately 16k miles.

    Mods:
Full euro trim including front and rear bumper trim, grills, and rear plate filler.
H&R OE sports and Bilstein HD shocks
    M3 control arm bushings
new tie rods, control arms, balljoints
    Axxis Ultimate pads
ATE Powerslot rotors (no longer produced, amazing combo with the Ultimates)
Super Blue brake fluid, spare unopened can will be included as well.
    Dynomax Super Turbo muffler
    replaced power window switches
new fog lights (brand new at over 100 a pop, not used replacements)
    Jim C chip
    Kenwood Excellon mp3/cd player
    Infinity Kappa 6x9" rear speakers
Pioneer 4" 2 way front speakers
Kenwood 4x40 watt 4/3/2 channel amp

Much has been done to this car, and all the work has been done personally and with the aid of other local e30 enthusiasts. UNHCLL and KillerCalypso can attest to this cars condition, when waxed it looks practically brand new. I will be taking current pictures of the car tomorrow; however until then look here for an idea of the cars condition. Keep in mind that the car will not be coming with the Borbet wheels shown, but rather stock basketweaves with Mastercraft tires with approximately 60% tread life remaining and all 4 centercaps.

    Cons:
IS front spoiler was stolen this week.
Right front turn signal has a shoddy connection. Will be fixed prior to sale
    Glovebox will not open.

The car was involved in a hailstorm as well last summer, resulting in several very small dents primarily on the hood and trunklid. The pictures above were taken after the incident and as you can see the damage is barely noticable and wont even come up in pictures. I will include a replacement hood and trunklid that will need paint with the car.

The car has a rebuilt title, due to a parking lot incident that took place several years ago with the first owner of the car (Im the third owner). The hood and front fenders were replaced and the car was issued a rebuilt title. All replaced panels have DOT-R stickers which came when the car was inspected by the New Jersey DOT. The car does not have a salvage title, and drives perfectly straight and true.

Again, it pains me to sell this car as its my absolute dream e30. I have been an e30 enthusiast and a member of the boards since back in the e30sport days, and this is bar none one of the best e30s Ive ever driven. There are no random rattles or vibrations and the car really feels like its right off the showroom floor.

Given its low milage, rebuilt title, and minor hail damage, the price is 4500 obo. Please do not hesitate to make an offer, but do keep in mind the fact that this is one of only a handful of e30s left in the world with well under 100k. The car is located in Orleans, MA on outer Cape Cod, and I can be reached with any questions on my cell at 603-686-0439. Thanks.

Holy shit fife! I can't believe you're selling it!.

I saw this car in person and it truly is a perfect E30, so young too.

I was thinking of selling my daily driver 325e and taking tha tmoney + cash in the next month to buy a more reliable E30...

I like your car alot buddy... alot! Does it have an airbag steering wheel?

Don't do it....you will regret it. Just pick up a cheap AWD or 4X4 while you are out there.

I know you said call, but work makes it tough to get away during the day. I have a thought. If you need an AWD, and you like e30's why not an IX? I have one in pretty decent shape (looks like about the same as yours) and am looking to trade it for a 325is or '91 318is. What do you think? Mine is a early '88 and have plastic bumpers to convert....and a set of bottlecaps for the winter tire of your choice. You'd be set man!

                      Bump

I just bought a steal of a jeep (99 grand cherokee laredo) and the time has come for this car to go. 2 new issues have come up since the original for sale date (end of May):

1)the exhaust system needs to be replaced
                      2) the power steering rack needs to be replaced

The milage on this car has also increased to 90,824 miles, which shows how little the car really gets driven (2000~ in 4 months). Given these new problems Id like to see $3000 obo. I stress the OBO, I need this car out of my driveway within 3 weeks. The car is now located in Exeter, NH, just 45 minutes north of Boston. Please keep in mind I have absolutely no access to the internet on a regular basis and can only be reached on my cell: 603-686-0439.

is there any way you could tow it behind whatever van you're using to move? if you can get it to WY, I'll take it.

Why is this car not sold yet!?!?! Wow.

Seriously people, that is a fucking steal and a half. Its a 318iS. Its low miles. This is a perfect daily.

You are definitely better off eBaying it. Do it, you won't regret it.
