    1988 BMW M5 - $6750/obo

Ebay failed me so I'm dropping the price.

1988 M5, Black on tan, 191k. Rebuilt tranny, solid motor. Overall not a bad start but definately a bit of a project car, hence the price. It has minimal maintenence records and has been sitting a while undriven. Runs fine, but drives a little sloppy(see below). Looks like it has a newer cat, so I imagine it will pass smog, although I have not tried.

Here is what it needs in my opinion:

Suspension and bushings(a must), paint work, interior detail, diff mount(a must), tires(a must), tuneup.

Selling to fund an E30 M3(trades welcome?).

    SOLD. Thanks guys.

If you're interested, PM me your info and I'll call you.

Just for kicks, I may be interested in a trade for a decent 325is with a nice suspension setup plus cash.

Does it burn / use / drip / leak any measureable amount of oil?

Is that dash pad hiding any cracks?

Exactly what do you have for maint. records? Motor especially. Also, how many previous owners?

Bummer it's a little rough, it's the perfect color combo.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

The last owner tossed all his records at some point. I have some smogs and oil changes but for the most part they are all gone. I also have the reciept for the rebuilt tranny.

2 previous owners to my knowledge, although possibly more(the PO owned it for 10 years). Dash cover is hiding cracks.

Isn't it the only color combo for the E28 M5 in the states?
