I've had this car sitting for a while now and recently i finally threw in the rebuilt m20b25 that i had wrapped up in the garage.
1989 325is
Auto
Bronzit exterior (poor condition)
Black sport interior (good condition)
162k (engine rebuilt less than 50 miles ago. still in break-in period which i will advise the new owner on how to properly brake it in within the next 500 miles or so)
VIN: wbaaa2306k8262146
i know the wheels are mismatched in the pictures but the car will come with a set of bottle caps and a set of basketweaves with centercaps.
The exterior is rough, surface rust throughtout the body but nothing rotting. With some body work and a repaint this car would be in very good condition over all and it would make a excellent DD for a long time to go.
The underbody and floor pans are solid with HARDLY any visual rust as seen in the pictures.
it has a completely rebuilt m20 (bottom and top end) all new fluids (engine, coolant, trans, diff)
brakes were done right before the timing belt snapped so the brakes are very good.
suspension is pretty tight on the car, i am guessing the PO replaced some bushings in its time.
ABS light is on
The air conditioning system on the car has been completly removed.
The horn stopped working about a week ago
Brakes need to be bled which i will do
It needs a headlight switch which i am going to get
In the pictures the knee bolster is not installed but i have it (have it off to put in the headlight switch)
I also have the floormats for the car in the trunk
Car drives very nicely, the exhaust is fairly new so it runs nice and quiet. Valves have been adjusted so there is no valve train clacking sound.
basically in this current state the car is not the prettiest, but it will be a reliable and dependable daily driver. car has a ton of potential to look very good with a visit to the body shop. heck even a nice rattle can job would clean it up :D
bottom line price $1500!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats a steal.
If interested please lets make something happen by 7/14/07 because i am flying out overseas on the 15th and wont be back untill the 9th of august.
