For Sale - BMW E30 1989 325i Turbo - Asking $4000 Flat
email -> Dimitri@deansphoto.biz for questions
VIN: WBAAA1300K4144627
133,082 Miles
The car:
I purchased to e30 from CT in late winter of 2006. It was truck delivered to Wisconsin, where I drove her home, washed her and covered her. Once spring came and the salt was completely off the roads, only then did she come out. There are some basic issues with the turbo setup. The PO has used DUCT tape to fit two of the charge pipe fittings. The main reason that I can tell he did this, is the lack of finding a reducer to go to and from the stock AFM. The best way to combat this would be any aftermarket Fuel Management system such as MegaSquirt. The e30 only has one seat, which was said to come with two. The passenger seat is mounted in the drivers spot.
Included is a set of gauges, Fuel:Air, Vac/Boost, and mechanical oil PSI, which was never hooked up. The motor has a water injection kit mounted and ready to be hooked up and programmed.
The Motor:
Pulls very strong. Set for max of 7-8psi. Will leave 35'+ of rubber pushing her into 3rd gear. Known oil leak. Coming from bad o-ring on remote oil cooler. I have another o-ring and adapter, I have not had the time to install. Needs air filter. I have been running my GSXR-600 square K&N air filter with a bracket to the turbo inlet for filtering. I do have a Al. 90 degree elbow for mount a standard K&N, however I best leave that to the new owner.
Exterior:
Great paint still. A few spots where the clear coat is starting to come off, not bad compared to all of the e30's that I have seen. Various paint chips on the front end. Black-out on the chrome window surrounds could use another coat, however you have to be nose-close to notice. The only rust patch on the vehicle is on the rear valance on the passenger side. I am not sure what happened, maybe the P/O backed into a parking log or something, but there is one consolidated patch of rust. This is an easy weekend fix for someone who knows how to weld. All of the door jambs and clear as well as the rockers on both sides. The front has the lower air splitter which was removed because of clearance issues on the transport truck. This is included with the car.
Interior:
Needs a driver side seat. Dash is NOT cracked at all. Gauge wiring is odd. I would pull it all and re-wire it, also install all electronic gauges.

I am asking $6000 USD for this little girl. I want her to go to a good home where I know someone will blow a head gasket or two taking her past her limits. This is not one of those cars you want to sell to make money on. I am taking a hit on this e30. I just bought an enragement ring and looking for a new home to move into or build.
What would I do if I could keep her?
I would get a 3" exhaust welded up. Megasquirt. Seats. I would also cut the one rust spot and weld some steel in there and get it painted. I would toss on a new set of tires and do some dyno runs and tuning...
email me at dimitri@deansphoto.biz with any questions you may have.
Make sure you put TURBO in the subject line!
Thanks.
Dean
I'd pefer not to get PM's email ME! I work 14 hours a day, so I can check email, not the site! Thx. Dean

A post from the gentleman I purchased the car from:
89325iturbo

Wed Jun 13, 2007
At that price im tempted to buy it back!! Guys i put all the best parts into this car when i built. Low compression JE pistons, crank, and rods were magnafluxed. Head was port&polished welded water jackets, all brand new valvetrain. Just never finished the tuning, even with larger injectors and FMU the car would break loose in third at 65-70 at 14psi. It definately hauled. I spent a lot of time making the engine bay tighty, and clean.
I sold the car about 1-1/2 years ago. but when i did it the parts in the engine alone are more then 4,000. Its a good car for someone to finish out.
