    FS: 90 brilliantrot/tan 325is 5spd. NY/tristate area

    hey all,

I'll try to keep this short as possible.

I bought this car in 01/06 so what the previous owner had done is all still relatively recent therefore i will mention what he had done. Wherever it doesn't say "previous owner," i did it;)

The car 1990 325is, 5 speed, 167k miles, brilliantrot w/ tan interior. I bought it with 155k on the odo. All electronics work perfectly except the gas gauge recently went beserk. The car overall rides/feels/handles surprisingly nice especially for it's age. The engine still is very strong and runs as smooth as a 90 probably can and barely burns oil. The paint is fading slightly but it still has some life in it. There is no rust except minor surface rust as seen in the pictures from paint chips.

    The Good:
-Previous owner had all 4 wheel bearings replaced
-Previous owner replaced front control arms w/ new bushings
-Previous owner replaced all 4 struts
-Previous owner had the timing belt/water pump done at 135k miles
-Previous owner replaced the rear pads and rotors.
    -Previous owner replaced the battery
-Previous owner put in an aftermarket CD headunit w/antenna in the car
    -new plugs, cap, and rotor
    -new air filter
-new power window switches and window kill switch
    -new headlight switch
    -new hazard switch
    -new rear defroster switch
-new front and rear BMW roundels
-new heater resistor (HVAC only had slowest and fastest speed when i bought it)
-new OBC backlight (OBC works flawlessly)
    -new OEM projector foglights
    -new thermostat and radiator hoses
    -new accessory belt
-new exedy clutch kit installed last May
-new VDO fuel pump assembly installed April 07
-replaced radiator with a used one from an automatic 325 (new coolant)
    -new BMW floormats
    -new Z3 shifter (shorter throws)
-new IS front lip spoiler w/ new clips (not painted or installed)
-318ti short antenna (non-functional...looks good though!;))
-new Bosal catylitic converter section and Ebenhauser OEM muffler section (yet to be installed)
-new valve cover gasket (yet to be installed. see "bad")

    The bad:
    -needs an alignment
-front right tire is bald because of it
    -drivers seat is torn
-valve cover gasket is sweating oil
-Previous owner: tree branch fell onto roof and gave it a nice dent
-Temp will go a little over midway on gauge if car is still, but never overheats
-3rd gear has a little chunk/grind to it at times
-The new Z3 shifter slighty rubs the driveshaft when in 2nd gear
    -A/C needs to be recharged

With all that said, the car still feels and rides great like i had previously said thanks to what the previous owner had replaced. Electronically, the car is near perfect. Sunroof, windows, OBC...it all works perfect with the exception of the gas gauge. One of the best parts of it is that there is basically no rust and the engine is still strong as an ox.

It was supposed to be a S50 project which is why there are still little things that need to be sorted out. But priorities for me right now have taken a 180 degree turn and i need to sell it.

    $2800

if you are serious, please email me at mrbebu@optonline.net or you can call me 631-680-9416 and ask for Tom

what is wrong with it that would make it a great project car? how does it run, what does it need, how does it drive etc.

still very interested pending the sale of my car BTW.

What i mean is that it is a great canvas to made into an even better car. I drove the thing from Northern Massachusets back home to eastern Long Island the day i bought it in January '06. It was my daily driver from that point until recently.

If you come to test drive it, you'll see.

The stock cat section is on it right now without a muffler section. I was driving it around like that for almost a year, lol.

The new exhaust sections i haven't installed yet, but i can install them before someone was to take it.
