My girlfriend is looking for a car. and she wants to get a vw because they look pretty and i said if i find her a alright e30 thats a convertible would she buy it and she said yes. so i was just throwing it out there is there anyone selling a nice convertible for around $2000-$3000?

3 g for a project, 5 g for a good condition with minimal mods, and upwards of 10k if you are looking for something that is really good with excellent mods. You might find something for 3k without motor, and if you find a m20 motor or m50 swap and you ahve the means then it is feasible. other than that its kinda of waiting for pigs to fly.
oh and don't ever get a 318ic... unless you are going to trick out the motor for her, its going to be really really patheticly weak. So weak to the point you be pushing more MPG because you be in third gear the whole time.Comment

318ic's are fine. If you're mechanically able find one with the best body and interior you can. That stuff is expensive to make nice. The drivetrain/suspension is cheap in comparison, especially with used parts.Comment
