    FS/FT: '94 e34 540i 5-speed Calypso

..::l Now on Ebay -Click Here- l::..

Is anyone interested in trading me their e30 + cash? I'm looking for a plastic bumper e30 with a manual transmission that is semi close to Albany NY. I've been browsing around this site and I see that many people are interested in e34's. You should be! It's basically a larger e30 with lots more power. The torque is amazing in this car!

    I will also take $6,500.

The car was originally a 530i 5-speed and I dropped in an ALUSIL 4.0 V8 from a 540i, which is not the problematic NIKASIL engine (http://www.bmw4life.com/nikasil.htm). The mileage on the engine is estimated around 70kmi. The car has 140kmi.

The car is in good shape and has some mods done to it. There are 3 quarter sized rust bubbles. one near the gas door and the other two are by the rocker panels on the front doors. The only other thing wrong with the car is that it needs the thrust arm bushings replaced (slight shimmy when braking at 55mph.

The car has 140kmi and the engine is estimated at 70kmi.

Most of the mods are visual. Hella smoked lights, euro trim, M5 plate filler, smoked corners, m5 steering wheel and a few others. Suspension is stock besides Racing Dynamics sway bars.

The car is FAST! 282hp and 295tq. 0-60 in just over 6 seconds.

    Pics are here http://zwilliams.smugmug.com/gallery/2119888#109610773

    Mods are here http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...hlight=antrieb

I get an average of 20mpg with mostly city driving. I get 26-27 on the highway.

Couple things I forgot to mention. The thrust arm bushings need to be replaced (common e34 problem -slight shimmy when breaking at 55mph) There is a small connector that holds the cruise cable to the throttle plate. It broke during the swap (New cruise cable is $30 from dealer). Also the ASC cable clip is broken right at the ASC plate near the front of the engine. ASC sucks anyway so its better off without it. Brand new clutch when I did the swap. Also a new clutch slave cylinder.

(I have all the plastic engine covers on now)

Too much rust for my taste, but then again, I look/work on SoCal cars. Down here we don't know what body rot even is. I have had one rusty ass Northern US car in ten years to deal with.

The spots are so small (quarter size) that they can only be seen if you get up close and personal. It is also just surface rust so it can be fixed without breaking the bank if you choose to do so. The little bit of rust never bothered me.

I forgot to mention that I painted the lowers a few months ago which makes the car look 10x better.

Do you have an estimate on how much thrust arms would be? Car looks awesome.

From the dealer they are $130 each, BMA is $100 each, and ebay is $50 for both but only last a couple years. It is a DIY job.

In a couple of the pics I have the style 5's on, they are already sold.
