    FS/Testing waters: 89' 325i 2 door

WELL I missed out on the car I was looking at, but I'll leave this up incase another comes along or if anyone has an E34 or E39 wagon they'd like to trade.

I've found a 5'er wagon for a good deal and obviously cannot afford to have both cars. Seeing if there is any interest before I commit to the wagon.

    1989 Bronzit :hitler:
    325i
~200K on the motor and tranny.
    5-speed
    Tan interior
    Sport seats
Replica Mtech front and rear valances from Euro stop
    IX fender flares
    US ellipsoids
    H/R Sports on stock shocks
Coolant system replaced 10-15K miles ago.
Timing belt/water pump/accesory belts replaced 9K miles ago.
All in all a reliable daily
    Currently returns about 21-23mpg combined

    Known issues:
-A/C needs a recharge. Compressor still engages, is barely cold. sight glass shows bubbles in the refrigerant.
-Clutch Chatter after long commutes when at idle.
-return line from oil cooler leaks near block. I change my oil every 3K and have never been anywhere near the low mark.

    Asking $4,500 FIRM

The Mtech2 front is nice, but why else is this car worth $4500?

That's how much I want for it. If I don't get it thats fine. $4500 is what it would take to motivate me to sell it and purchase the E39, so I threw it up on here to see if anyone would be interested?

I don't like to haggle with people over the price of a car, especially for less than $5,000. I don't really understand alot about this community, I see people pricing their 20 year old cars at three to four times the amount of what I'm asking with the only discernible differences usually being that they are completely stock and maybe have some overpriced set of wheels on them.

I also notice that even though no one ever seems to buy those cars either, people sure do love to kiss the owner's ass.

You will have a hard time selling it with that mentality. I'd haggle on an $1800 car just to save a hundo... Why? Why the fuck not? I was only asking because I can't see any reason this car is worth what you are asking. If you are pricing it there only to see if it will sell so you can buy an E39, I think you don't really want to sell it.

I could see $3k for it, maybe $3250 max, but only if you put some bottlecaps on it.

            Sorry, couldn't resist.

In my experience, people like yourself never can.

So there's no need to apologize.

You're right, I don't NEED to sell it, I never said I did, especially to someone who's going to waste my time haggling over a price thats obviously not negotiable and is stated so upfront.

Thats what its worth to me at the moment.

If its not to you then you should really move on and try to get over it.

I promise you there are other things that are more important in your life.

Maybe you just need to try harder.

                            In your estimation, no.

But obviously you're not someone I would want to sell it to in the first place.

So you really were not informing me of anything important.

I wish you the best of luck the next time you try to buy/sell a car, hopefully you won't have people with no interest in your vehicle pulling figures out of their ass trying to make it sound like they somehow know what something they don't own is worth to other people.
