One thing's for certain. It'll be a helluva lot easier for you to get a duplicate title than it would be for a buyer. No way in hell I'd buy a car without a title, at any price. The current fleet:
1992 325ic: 148k-171k miles
1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD, 114k-142k miles
1984 MasterCraft Stars and Stripes Powerslot (not a car :D) PCM Ford 351W, 904 hours

Thanks to all for the input.
I have bought a e30 before without a title and I didn't have any problems whatsoever...
The DMV has Title less transfer's. As long as they are notarized, it's just as good as a pink slip.
I just do not overall have the time to go down to the DMV, then wait weeks upon weeks for the duplicate. That's what I am trying to avoid, but it seems I am going to have too!!
I was thinking of parting it, but that would take too long and I don't have the tools for it.
Thanks again guys.:up:Andrew

I got my current e30 for $500..the PO said he was just gonna donate it to the kidney foundation for a tax deduction. Told him I would save hime some time and paperwork. All it needed was a trailing arm. Its got basketball sized rust holes on both sides of the trunk behind the wheels. But its been runnin' for about two years now. Still kinda feel like I fucked him in the deal, but twas his own ignorance.
Equal rights should be all or nothing, not picked and chosen based on what's convenient for ones personal agenda.
