Hello everyone I'm Brandon. I'm 19 and from Kettering, Ohio. I've decided i want an e30. I currently own an e28 among others and have really enjoyed it, but its not really something i want for the long run. For the past few months i have been searching and searching for something that i would find suitable for a project car. I've looked at everything, kit cars, 240sx, mg midget, you name it. Looking around i stumbled across the e30 forums and found this site. For the past couple of weeks i have been reading nearly everything i can find. After all of my searching i have decided on a 335 e30. I have aloth of the parts from my e28 being that it is a 5 speed with an m30 with roughly 65k miles previously out of an auto at 60k.
I am basically looking for a shell. i do not need the engine or transmisson, but i do need the driveshaft and rear end. exterior wise as long as it dosent need much body work im ok with it. paint condition and color dont matter to me really, i have a spray gun and will probably repaint it. Interior dosent really matter either, i'll probbly end up stripping it. A good dash is preferred though. Miles dont matter much, as i will redo all the suspension, steering components and bushings(as needed). Price wise im looking for something fairly inexpensive, less than 2 grand if at all possible.
My goal is to have a resonably nice, well handling, fast car to drive on weekends and track days. Again i live in Kettering, Ohio so the closer the better, but nothing is really out of reach as long as it is in the u.s. lol
