Can you ask your Co-worker where he came up with that asking price.......?

It's on Capital Hill. The owner is likely shooting up in the dumpster behind that shithole dealership.

e30s go for a lot in the PNW, but that still seems high.

Not to bash you but I felt your car is about $2 to $2.5k to high. The interior is shot and is not the desirable color. The car shows rust on the outside body, what about the frame or floor pans? (Typical areas) Any documentation on the mileage, you did list cluster swap. Clean title? What kind of records? Compression test on the engine? No lsd? 6 button OBC, manual sunroof...

Not here to bust your thread but reality is just that. If you put some money into the car to make it more desirable, the car seems strait to maybe get close to that figure. Being that he works at the dealer, ask them what book is on it and add about 1 to 2k to it and it should sell. Put about 1k into it and some good elbow grease into it you might get about asking price, if its rust free!

              Just food for thought,

From what I can see I'd probably be asking $3500-$4K for it and a little lower for a quick sale.
