I need to buy a car in the next few months.
More specifically, I need a car by June (I know, I know, thinking way too far ahead, but it doesn't hurt to, I think).
I have two cars in mind that I'd be overjoyed to have.
The first is an E39 540i in black, silver, or blue.
The second is an E30 vert. I have one now, but it's in pretty rough shape (some door rust, couple dents, etc, laughable paint). The motor is in really good shape though.
I'm looking for a more solid E30ic (preferably a 6cyl). White, red, or perhaps silver, mileage under 200k absolutely (preferably under 150k) with a black interior (or red, if its a white or silver car). Tasteful modding is cool by me.
Other things that I'd regard as really cool (and worth a more flexible budget):
-Nicer-than-stock wheels
-Nicer-than-stock wheels with stockers included
-Nicer-than-stock wheels with snow tire-wrapped stockers included
-Hardtop (yeah I know I'm asking the impossible here)
-Windscreen
-Sound system upgrades
-Service records (actually this is almost a requirement, as much as possible)
I'm looking at a budget of $5500 here, and I know I'm asking a hilarious amount for that kind of money, but I think of it like this: a clean, but bare stock 325ic in White on Black with 150k-ish on the clock would easily get 5500. Should that car have a binder full of service records, some nice speakers, and a windscreen, I'd be down for a few hundred more. Winter tires on stockers, summers on something cheap and good-looking? Add another few hundred.
