My dad purchased this car for a quick fix and resell but he had no idea what he was getting into. Although it runs and drives it needs a lot of work in order to be road worthy.
With this in mind I think it would be best suited as a parts car.
Body: Left rear door hit and the rocker below it was also damaged. The door has since been replaced but the rocker was not repaired.
The hood has a 3” dent on it. The right front side of the car was also hit and has damage to the bumper/fender area. The left front fender, left front door are original dent/ rust free. The right side doors are original dent/rust free. The trunk lid is original and rust free. There is a 2" area under the left tail light that has rust.
Powertrain: The car was purchased from the original owner and the odometer reads 104K. The engine runs but the idle “hunts” when in park but idles excellent when in gear. Easy fix if you need a ETA engine. The auto transmission shifts flawlessly. There are no records of when the timing belt was last replaced. We installed a new AFM boot. .
Driveline: No vibrations present. The diff is quiet.
Interior: Black. The seats are trashed. I would not consider them usable unless they were to be reupholstered.
Electronics: The cluster is dead. The fuel gauge reads empty but it the tank is full. Equipped with premium sound. The LCD on the radio is damaged. It also needs a CODE, which we don’t have. Equipped with 13 button OBC, however, the LCD is damaged. Power windows and locks work. Power sunroof works. The battery is new.
Extras: This car has the orginal front BMW mudguards and also the original fog lights mounter under the diving board bumper. They have plastic protective grills, which I assume are also original.
Other: From driving it I can tell the brakes are shot and the muffler is severley rusted. Tires are decent with good tread.
