    FS or FT : 1991 BMW 318is

Ok, I've only had this baby since the October or November - but I need to downgrade. I have decided I want a bike for the summer, and my best bet is to probably downgrade.

I've been using this car as my daily and work commuter. It's been good to me and it's definately better than my 325is on gas mileage.

    Good:
    -All original panels, matching VINs
-Car currently has only 151xxx miles.
    -Good MPG.
    Since i've had it,
-Oil recently changed, good till 155,000 mi.
-Rebuilt calipers, new rotors and pads up front - done this January.
-New fuel filter, air filter, and oil filters changed regularly.
-New fuel pump, in February iirc.
-Spark plugs fairly new, previous owner had replaced them not long before I purchased it.
    -Clean uncracked dash ;)
-Very clean interior, exterior just needs a buff - otherwise solid.

    Not so good:
-1 rust spot, bottom of passenger fender. Could replace the fender but i wanted to keep all the panels original, with matching VIN, like they currently are. I have a piece of another fender cut that is to be welded on, just haven't had the down time to get it done yet.
-Throws a 1222 code after idling for a little while. Its a air/fuel ratio code, I believe its due to an exhast leak. O2 sensor is new.
-Sunroof crank cover is missing. You can still use the crank no problem, its just missing that plastic piece that surrounds it.

Thats all that comes to mind. :)

These pics are from the previous owner before I purchased the car. Looks pretty much the same with the exception of the front windshield tint now removed. Also has euro grill/plate filler that may or may not stay depending on the replacement vehicle. Anyway, these pics will do for now.

Willing to trade for ~$1k car (+ cash) thats reliable mechanically and good on gas. Don't really care too much about cosmetics, within reason. Also willing to trade for a sport bike thats 600cc or less.
    Outright sale price is $3k.

Not in a rush to sell, I enjoy using this car as my daily. Its a fun little car that looks good and is easy on the wallet. Never thought i'd like the m42 so much.

Easiest way to contact me is email - manjo715@hotmail.com - or phone, 610.554.8296.

Thanks for all the interest everybody, even though there is over $100k invested into this car - I will be keeping it in the family and my brother will be driving it.

If anything changes, I will contact those that were interested before bumping or creating another thread...

                    Thanks.
