Unfortunately several people have already IM'd me disputing my claim that the car has over $100,000 invested into it.

So, I feel it's best that I explain the math behind that number here. It's really simple and makes perfect sense.

Basically, if you take the selling price of an E30 325i in 1989 ($32,580) and convert that to today's money (inflation adjusted), you're looking at $43,750. Then take into account that this car has the motor from a 1995 M3. The 1995 M3 cost $38,800 new, which is $46,000 in today's money with adjustments for inflation.

So, $43,750 plus $46,000 = $89,750. Add to that the tires and brakes that have been put on this car over the years, plus registration and gas that's been put into it...

I think it's pretty easy to see how this car has had over $100k invested into it.

Redo the math, because by that logic, since my car is build from a dozen of part cars, my car is the most expensive on this forum. And if there are takers, I only want $50,000 for my sacrifice of near million dollars.

In all seriousness,clean rust-free e30 is at most 5k, and s52 motor is another 5k, all the blood, sweat and tears are another 5k, after that it's sentimental value, which makes the car priceless. i think at most with rust at windshiled this car is worth 15K, but good luck finding a buyer. Sweet car, just not at e46 m3 price.
