    89 325is Central PA

Well, I've reluctantly decided to sell my car. I really don't drive it often enough to justify the cost of insuring it so here goes:

    181,xxx miles
    5-speed manual transmission
US Ellipsoid headlights (Comes with Euro Ellipsoid headlights, uninstalled)
comes with a set of 4 winter tires and 4 summer tires (both sets have less than 4000 miles on them both are 195/65)
I'm currently getting about 28MPG city, 35MPG highway

    Modifications:
    Dinan 91 octane Chip
    Remus Cat-back exhaust
272 degree Cam custom made by VAC motorsport in Philly
    Ported & Polished Head
    5-angle valve job

    Bav Auto Springs
    Bilstein shocks
    M3 Control Arm Bushings

    50% tinted windows
15" Borbet Type C wheels (also have the stock BBS basketweaves)
    Professionally Smoked OEM tail lights

    Maintenance done at 169k miles:
Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioner, fan clutch, new rocker arms, new gaskets.

As you'll see in the pictures, the car is far from being in stellar cosmetic condition. One of the two layers of the clear coat is peeling on the roof and there are various other cosmetic flaws that I've highlighted in the pictures. The roof could probably look almost new after some wetsanding though.

The other major turn off for most people is the fact that the previous owner removed the catalytic converter. If you're in PA though, I know a guy who will allow it to pass emissions.

The real highlight of this car lies in the mechanical aspects. The engine runs great and pulls really smoothly. I saw the dyno sheets for it before I purchased it and it was putting out ~190hp at the wheels. No major engine maintenance will need to be done on the car for quite awhile.

I also have two full sets of tires that will come with the car (a winter set and a summer set. The winter set is pictured.) Both have less than 5000 miles on them.

I'd like to get about $4000 for the car. All offers will be considered though. If you have any questions, call me at 814-574-5975 or send me a PM. Thanks for looking.

    - Spencer

(Those stains have been on the trunk upholstery since I bought the car. The trunk does NOT leak. I don't know what these stains are from)

Should these photos stop working, i've zipped and hosted them here: http://www.personal.psu.edu/svf5013/e30zip.zip

And now to point out the cosmetically bad parts:

The engine is very strong and very smooth throughout the powerband. The engine is the best part about this car.

How's the idle with the cam?
181K original miles? Looks like an M3 cluster...
                  How are you calculating MPG?

The idle is just slightly rough when cold but very smooth when the engine is warmed up. 181k original miles. Yes, it is an M3 cluster. The mileage is verified by carfax. PM me if you need a VIN.

As far as gas mileage, I went 220 miles on 6 gallons of gas about a month ago. That comes to 36.667 MPG. These were highway miles going 80+

Would any of you kind fellows be willing to post this to the for sale section on e30 tech? I really don't feel like trying to get 25 posts over there. Let me know if you do. Thanks!

So it makes 190whp, gets ~37 mpg while you're going 80mph with a 3.73 and has 181k miles? Interesting.
