    1992 318 Cabrio 5spd

Well my little brother got side swipe in his car earlier this month, so the insurance company settled with him and he bought the car back from them. I guess the title will be salvage for the car. He either wants to sell the whole car or part it out.

    92 318 convertible
    red/ tan sports seats

exterior: As you can see in the pics it was hit on the door and quarter panel. The clearcoat is fading on the trunk. It also had a couple of scratches on the passenger side.

interior: Sport vinyl seats and door cards are in good condition. The interior is great condition. No cracks in the dash.

    Suspension: H&R sports and Bilsteins

Engine: I have to get the miles. Engine ran perfectly, the oil pan is off the car. He got pushed onto a curb. My brother works at a German Auto, so maintaining the engine was always easy. He took real good care of the car.

I'll get the miles tonight. He wants $2,250 for the car as is or we might to part out the whole car if we get a lot of interest.

I might take the fenders as well if the other guy doesn't want them. He gets first dibs

Can anyone enlighten me on complications in titling/insuring a 'salvage' vehicle?

OP, would you ming PMing me? Have a few questions about the car.

                    thanks

In TX theres no problem. My husband bought a salvaged car. You can register anything so long as you have a title on it. Problem is by having a "salvage" title the value of the vehicle is significantly reduced. They issue salvage titles to protect ignorant customers from buying a lemon (mostly for safety reasons).

If it gets parted out, dibs on everything thats rubber. Weather stripping (top and windows) Lemme know if youre really parting before I go into more detail (theres a lot of cabrio specific parts I need)
