    FS 89 325i sedan w/ light damage - $1,000 - NoVA

I'm posting this for a friend. I can answer some questions about the car, but for those that are pretty serious, I'll be happy to get you connected with the owner.

The car is an '89 325i sedan with automatic trans. Mileage is 176K. The car is very well kept, very clean, and has quite a few nice upgrades. Unfortunately, the car was in an accident about 2 weeks ago. The car has been daily driven since the accident with no issues. The damage is highlighted in the pic below. The car has a lot of recent maintenance and a lot of nice upgrades.

18 more pics available in the zip file: http://v8mongrel.com/tom/wreckede30.zip

I've had a few knowledgeable people look at the pics, and it looks like all the damage is cosmetic - the unibody and suspension should be fine. If someone chose to do so, it should be repairable. Here are the vitals on the car:

1989 325i sedan, cirrus blue, gray leather interior, automatic transmission
    - 176K miles
    - Full OBC, power windows, sunroof, cruise,
    - Recent Alpine HU
    - Maintenance records back to the original owner
    - There were no accidents or paint history before the current bump up
    - Upgraded ECU and transmission (I don't know the vendor)

Upgrades/Maintenance performed in the last 20K miles:
    - Koni SA front and rear shocks
    - Ireland Engineering stage III springs installed with new 10mm spring pads in rear
    - Lemforder control arms
    - Tree House Racing control arm bushings
    - Front hub assemblies with wheel bearing
    - Lemforder inner and outer tie rod assemblies
    - Stabilizing bar rubber bushings and links
    - Fan clutch
    - (4) Falken Ziex 512 tires
    - Painted calipers (RED)
    - Rear brake pads
    - All fluids replaced (trans, diff. coolant, etc.)
    - Bosch platinum spark plugs
    - Keyless entry

The asking price is $1000. The car is located in Northern Virginia, close to DC.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's clearly been hit, but it runs and drives fine. Light damage sounds a lot better than "smacked in the rear" anyway :p.
For those that aren't quite as aesthetically picky, an afternoon with a couple of friends, a case of beer, and a few body hammers would make a world of difference. It wouldn't be concours ready, but it would look a lot better than it does now...

If I had the room, I'd buy it and part it out myself. However, my wife would murder me if I brought home another stray.
