      m5 came out in 88 if i'm not mistaken, before that there were m535i and 535iS. right?

        Damn, say what you want, but E28's and E30's look so much better sans trunk lips. I'm loving the red-handled (über rare) tools and that Brembo BBK. The seats look a bit aged for having 24k on them. Euro E28's look beautiful.

          They were produced from 10/84 to 10/87 IIRC. The 535is' were produced in '87 and '88, and M535i's were produced from 3/85 to 5/88.

                You're thinking of US-bound E24 M6's and E28 M5's which were produced between 09/86 through 09/88 and 11/86 through 11/87, respectively.
