The wife and I just bought this car for a really good deal with the intentions of getting it running again and DD'ing it to keep miles off of my 91' 318is. Well with the economy being what it is we could probably use the money more than the extra car. It runs beautifully now... just needed an ignition harness switch and a starter solenoid.
The Good:
Runs great... been DD'ing it now for about 2 weeks.
AC blows ludicrously cold
body is straight with no rust
interior is near mint condition (no tears in seats or cracks in dash)
paint is decent in most places (roof has some wear on rear) was resprayed
fairly new tires, don't know actual mileage, but good tread left (70% at least)
clean engine bay (has a small PS leak, and small VC oil leak) leaks aren't bad enough to drip
new brake light switch to cure random "brake light" out warning
new fluids
comes with new timing belt (PO didn't know when done last so I got them)
added IS trunk spoiler and volvo front lip
repainted rocker panels and bottom of rear bumper back to black
The Bad:
Cruise doesn't work (PO said it did recently)... haven't looked into this yet
the few small fluid leaks mentioned above
sunroof doesn't work at all (previous owner removed motor & guts)
temp gauge doesn't work (will look into this as it bugs me to no end)
odometer doesn't work, stopped at 150,000+
antennae doesn't work
Wife and I wouldn't mind keeping it, so if we don't get what we want for it, we will :) It drives so very nice. Asking $3200 OBO. PM me with any questions or offers. I think that's about it... so on to the pictars!
