Alright, so Im seeing if I can sell this thing real quick. Ive come across a TI Id love to have. Heres a quick rundown...
- 1989 325i zinno red w/ tan interior 5 spd manual.
- about 175k on the clock
- TOTALLY stock except the shadowline and Lowtec 60/50mm drop (shocks & springs), and rear kicker speakers
- Runs absolutely perfect, had the timing belt, water pump, cap, rotor, etc replaced last year at around ~165k miles
- Fuel pump replaced by OEM BMW fuel pump around 3 months ago.

The bad:
The on the right rear, the valance was hit. So instead of it being ugly and crooked, I just cut off the part that was missing.
It also has a cracked fog lamp, which hasnt bothered me enough to replace.
The knee bolster is gone. It was falling off the day I got it, and also never got around to replacing it. same with the piece behind the passenger's window.
The stereo is a stock stereo, and it is not installed.

This is only a feeler because once the other car is sold, Im not going to sell this car.




The cheap floormats were replaced with some BMW ones taken from a used E46 off the lot. They fit well.

I cut off the part where it is crinkled. Its much less noticeable that way. That fuel door also sits flush, that was asked before. It just wasnt totally shut in that pic. To this day it sits perfectly normal.

No shit. I would drive up to 10-12 hours in one direction for the right car for me. I have done so before too. The ride is pretty clean. You got this car from the bay area right? You beat me to this car a few months ago by about four days. Now my budget has shrank drastically so I can't afford what you are asking at the moment. But a TI is no E30.....sorry. If you sell it you will be back. They always come back.:D

No, I got it from a guy in Gardena. Ive already had an E30, and owned a TI. IVe had both, and have enjoyed both in their own ways. I will never own a truck, so the hatch of the TI is very useful.

The guy in Gardena didnt give it to me in the best conditions. He lied and said the tbelt was replaced (it wasnt), said the hoses and belts were replaced (they werent), and said he replaced the fuel pump (maybe with an old used one, but it went bad). All of those have been addressed by me with new parts. So the owner will only need to do the typical maintenance these guys require.

Not sure what the market is like in CA, but that is a ~$2500 car from what I can see. Pics of your rear valence 'mod' would be good to see also. If you are 'totally' stock other than springs, I'd be worried about the shocks too. Black 'caps probably have limited appeal. The dash is cracked, the knee bolster is a cheap part that when missing makes the interior look shitty, and there is no front lip. Just my impressions from your for sale post. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sorry.... Totally stock other than shocks and springs. I bought the package from Mel. So the shocks are totally fine. I'll fix that. Thanks for the input though, maybe that'll help out a little bit.

No prob. I tend to be pretty thorough, but little things make a difference. If you spent a couple hundred bucks and a weekend cleaning it up it would go a long way. Keep in mind that when you 'do' your car, you are cutting your prospects wayyy down. Regular people don't want all the stuff people do to 'improve' their cars, because improvement is subjective. And while I know that buying someone else's former project saves on parts (if it has the parts you want), I am very wary of a car that's been modded by someone else mostly because I don't trust anybody. People hack cars to all hell regularly, so it is safest just to go stock and start with a clean slate. Plus people who mod their cars tend to drive harder. R3vers are so incredulous when a car we know has $15k in it can't sell for $7k, but the reason is if there are only 5% of the people interested vs. if the car was stock, and none of them have the money or buy something else, you are stuck. That's the downside of modding.

As far as modding and driving harder, I dont drive the car hard. The mods were really for 100% aesthetic purposes. The 4x4 look just looks stupid. Thats the reason why there is no engine work done, nothing. Suspension was first, and wheels were next, and that would be it. Theres not much to clean on the car really. Its spotless inside, just clayed and put 3 coats of wax on it around a month ago. Oil just changed, so its in tip top shape as far as the normal improvements.
