Considering that in the past rolling shells have sold for anywhere from 5 to 7k, the asking price isn't that far off..... Im surprised that people don't realize how expensive E30 M3's have become....

I also don't think people realize how bad the market for toys has become. I recently sold my 88 M3 that was in very nice condition throughout with a low mile S14 motor for 11K. Lots of people wanted to buy it, but no one had any money. My neighbor is rebuilding his S14 (and I'm sure this one will need a complete rebuild) so far he has several thousand into it in just parts! I think the rule of 15 is alot closer to 20 these days, but the market is not willing to pay it!

Its sad, but you are correct. As of right now the supply of E30 M3's available for sale is quite high. Over here in the northeast there are many for sale, and have been for a while. Locally there are some nice ones available with owners willing to consider offers in the 10-12k range.

The chances of getting a complete M3 for $6,000 is still pretty slim. I'm not rulling out that they're out there, but if the body and interior of this one are in good shape, it prob will sell somewhere in the 4-5k range.

Anyone wanting to buy an E30 M3 might be able to score a pretty good deal if they look hard enough.

Ive been looking for over a year for an alpine 88. But almost everyone ive looked at are JUNK(accidents, shitty resprays, super poorly maintained) or overpriced for what it is.

What people think are garage queens are not always what they seem.

The car originally posted IMHO is worth $5k. Super clean ones are worth $15k-20k but good luck finding one.
But the fully modded ones with 2.5s and all the go fast parts are they really worth nearly $30k
