    WTB: E30 Convertible w/ Manual

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking at buying an E30 to use for my DD. I have a '97 328i that I went a little mod-crazy on and is now basically a track car I drive to Boston every day. I have a pretty big list of requirements. You'll notice that mileage is not one of them, I have a few projects in mind so the drivetrain will probably be completely swapped later next year. This means rollers can be candidates as well. My only two firm requirements are a manual transmission and convertible body. Here goes the rest!

    318i prefered
Any color but reds/maroons on interior and exterior.
    Power top prefered
    Heated seats a major plus
Not many mods, as I want a solid DD, but factory-esque aftermarket parts a plus
    The less rust the better
    Unless it's a 5-lug, regular basketweaves prefered
    Prefer local (eastern MA area)

Other than that, I have no preference on looks, bumpers, trim, mtech kits, etc. Even if the paint is jacked up and pitted, or the car is painted a few colors, that's fine.

As low as possible, I'm not sure what the pricing is like on these. I would also be interested in trading my E36 if that would open any doors.

if you want the power top you are looking at the 91-92 cars only, most of them 90% the power top will be broken and the lid that opens and closes when the top is raised will not fully lock, you can still open and close the top but the lid will not lock if the power mechanism is broken, also I don't think 318 came with heated seats...
my advise is to get a clean vert and enjoy it, don't overmodify it beyond being able to drive it like you did with the e36
