Solid 325i with blown engine in Ct $600

I bought this car last week with the owner claiming a bad headgasget. Pulled the head and found cylinder 6 has a broken valve which trashed the piston. I have time to do a head job, but not to replace a motor.

Car is automatic and in nice shape with just 106,000 miles. Has the typical bronzit clear checking but is 99% rust free. Interior is in good shape aside from piping coming off of the driver's bolster. Radio is factory original and dash is crack free!! Tires are all good matching bridgestones, brakes look good, and suspension is not bouncy.

A few more pictures. The shot of under the rear valance is the 1% rust mentioned in the original post. The metal is still very solid, only the undercoating is begining to peel. The final shot is of cylinder 6. It really is too bad. This is a perfect example of making sure you know who is working on your car. This is all because of a botched head replacement!!

I also have a rotted out 528e 5 speed that is available for an additional $400. The cam and springs from the 325i are fine to make a swap!!
