I bought my e30's for $500 and $800, both run perfectly. The $500 even came with a new clutch and tranny (story is posted elsewhere on r3v). Has shitty paint though.
Yea i used to have an e30 318i that unfortunately with my suspended license i had to get rid of but now that i have the damn piece of plastic back i can start shopping again. I'm sure that i will be able to find one becuase the one I had was 500 bucks. Besides I'm a mechanic so if it needs something i have a shop to work in when I need to. Thanks guys for the info

I have a 85 325 4-door I am looking to sell. Delphin over cardinal. 5-speed. It ran and drove great a little over a month ago. It was parked about 4 weeks ago due to an igintion problem. It was my cousins car and just wanted it gone out of her yard. Paint looks OK on the hood and side of the body. The roofs clearcoat has come off leaving no shine, and the trunk lid is peeling. The body is pretty straight other than the rear. Looks like it had been hit by a large truck as it dented and messed up the rear area. The bumper was untouched as the trunk lid and license plate area took the hit. The Mtech spoiler is still in good shape though. Interior is in decent shape. No glovebox and the knee bolster is missing so wires are hanging out everywhere. Would make a good project car. Ive considered keeping it and put a couple grand into having it repainted and fixed and using it as a daily driver. The motor is exremely clean. Timing belt was done about 15,000 miles ago according to the PO. Not much to look at but for a sub-$1000 E30 its not too bad. Some pics:
I have two e30's. The first one, which I bought in August right before I joined R3V. It is a black five speed 1990 325iS that was six hundred dollars. A major plus is that it runs really well. On the minus side this car has a lot of cosmetic issues I bought it from a lady who did not know what she had because it came with an inch of service records and is probably worth three times what I paid for it. It is not perfect because but for six hundred bucks I am not complaining. My second car is a red 1991 325i five speed coupe that I paid five hundred dollars. It unfortunately does not not have an engine but the body is straight. I bought it to part out but I am still debating whether I am going to actually do this. It might see a S50/2 in its future but I am not sure yet. I bought both of these cars off of the Dallas Craigslist. If you want a cheap car you have to be the first person there if it is any good.
I bought my car at 1k... running, a little rough:
Now im at about 4.5k... with a few things left to install, should look even better by the end of the year:
