I brought one into the states back in March of 1984 and to get it federalized the cluster had to be swapped over to mph to satisfy the DOT / EPA regulations. Also had to say unleaded fuel only on the gas gauge (not to mention a ton of other things)

I believe the car still has the metric/Euro cluster, including speedo. I don't believe it's ever been federalized, but it's exempt now, so it doesn't really matter.

Quite an unusual story that goes along with the car. Sat for a long, long time...Don't believe it sat inside, either.
