Well, I have decided to let the 5er go, it's just not practical for me for a daily and distance driver. I am going to get into a late model 3 series whenever I find the right one. In the meantime I'm selling this one. I haven't had this one for very long, but it's just not the right car for my application. Overall the car runs great, and it's pretty much like I bought it. I haven't added anything but an Alpine CD/MP3 player (which I will be removing and replacing with a JVC CD player), and the euro plates will stay with me as well. Everything else goes. There are many extras which will come with the car, extra OEM BMW glass roof, stock solid body color roof, A/C components (that's right, the components, evaporator, condensor, fan, etc...all removed per previous owner and I never got around to reinstalling), euro console, and a host of other extra little parts, oil filters, etc.
As of late, I have developed an issue with blowing the #9 fuse which runs the instrument panel lights, right side tail light, license plate lights and right side marker lights. I tried to run the short down to no avail, but I'm not very electrically savvy, so someone with more knowledge will certainly have more success at such a thing.
Otherwise, everything is good.
1988 535is w/approximately 220K miles
Lachsilber over black leather
5sp manual
Moonroof (glass roof for those unaware)
Miller MAF conversion
17x8" FORGED M-system wheels (and a 5th matching FORGED spare)
Eibach pro-kit springs
Bilstein sport shocks(I *think*)
Euro headlamp conversion
SSK (not sure which one)
I can provide more info if needed, and there are a bunch of records from the previous owners that I haven't even looked through yet.
Some pics right after I bought it, it pretty much looks the same now.
PRICE: $6500
