    WTB a dirt-cheap car

    Well, I need a car. Bad. I've gone through two auto-trans trying to find a good one, and I'm tired of swapping. The wife and I are sharing one car, and it's just not working out. I need another car! I MAYBE will be willing to trade my '89 coupe. Its in pretty good shape, it just needs a trans (its an auto). I have a couple extra busted ones you can have too ;)

    No AC? don't care. No radio? it's OK. No passanger seat? No problem. As long as it is drivable and somewhat reliable and resonable safe. I am very mechanicly inclined, so if the crappy car needs something, just tell me so I'll know.

    Not looking to spend over $500 here, I'm kinda broke

      thanks, maybe... I've gotten plenty of offers tho, but I will keep it in mind

      My e30 is at my local tech school where I can only work on it 3-4 hours a week. So it takes 2-3 per tranny swap, which I've done twice now.

        No worries. I have a 51k automatic trans that will be here tomorrow...
        I could do $500 shipped on it, and will guarantee it. :)

            I already tried to offer him a low mile auto trans weeks ago. Great condition, rebuilt, clean and ready to go. He passed on it. I offerd it again and he still passed. Some people like to learn the hard way.

                do you still have it? I may still take you up on it, really. Don't take my cheapness as ungraditude!

                its not that I don't want to fix the bimmer, it's that its taking me too long and I need a cheepo car to get to work/school in the meantime.

                    i have a 79 528i that just needs a clutch, its a 4 speed and honestly with the clutch it has now i would have no problem driving it to you.

                    Its yours for $300 if you want it, it needs paint but aside from that its a great car.

                    has less then 100K on it by the way ;)

                    let me know
