Found this while browsing CL. Doesn't look like a scam.

Wow, why so cheap I wonder? Makes me a little suspicious, but I emailed anyways.

If it's the same car, I remember seeing at a shop near my house, earlier in the spring. I went in and asked one of the mechanics if it was FS, and he said it wasn't.
IIRC, the car did have some rust under the paint. It was painted over the rust with Henna Red, but the paint had "sparkles" in it. So it looked like a "hot rod" M3.
I emailed the guy to go check it out (not intereseted in buying it, no worries)
I'll see if I can get better pics.

oh my god that is a lot of miles, that mixed with the rust around the windshield makes it so cheap... if it looks bad outside the windshield, it's a lot worse underneath

The guy tells you about a bunch of the rust which makes him seem more trustworthy to me. I'm sure you could talk him down in price a little. I bet $5500 cash would be easy.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.
