    Cali ebay find...

No affiliation. Wish I lived in California.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
    Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

Its really a shame that its such a hackjob inside. Interstate battery? BavAuto plug wires? I dont even know what the deal is with the fuel pressure regulator and all the idle control valve hoses. He obviously took it to autozone for parts whenever it needed something. It needs belts that were last replaced in 1997??? Its been 11 years since the last belt replacement?? When was the last oil change? Its undermaintained and needs a good amount of reconditioning. What the hell is the deal with that radio??? The main charm of the car (and the controls under the radio) are there for the original very high quality 1984 Audio system, and he went ahead and replaced it with that SILVER RED BLUE AND WHITE alpine which sticks out like a sore thumb? My nakamichi, which is missing a bezel and sticks out looks better than that just because its black with red backlight.

All that stuff he did to "maintain" it is fine for a normal E30, but a rare one such as that definitely needs OEM parts. His price is pretty high as well, I am not sure what they would be worth but I would think there is about $1000 worth of mechanical reconditioning to be done, a definite inspection II, and the engine will need gaskets most likely.

Im prety sure this is a dealer selling the car and he got it as a trade in or some other way, just triyng to make a lot of money.

Why aren't the seats and steering wheel nicer? I thought they were supposed to be?

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

I think that's pretty badass, he even has the mag article about it. Maybe it's not perfect, but hot many other cars like that exist in the US? probably not many. I bit of TLC and maintenance and you'd have one hell of an e30.

It may in fact be a genuine Hardy & Beck car. If so, it is missing a few things that either the PO's or someone got a away with over the last 24 yrs. Comparing it to the Road & Track car tested, it has the wrong seats, wrong wheels, wrong steering wheel & is missing the H&B logo's (one of which goes on the shifter). Find those @$3000 worth of very rare parts, ad them to the car & you may start approaching the bid price. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not an original 327s. It was converted to 327s engine by H&B after it was purchased.

You've seen & (if I'm not mistaken) driven a Hardy & Beck E9. Different models aside, that's a very valid question!! The car is missing a lot.
