    Feeler: 87 325i w/ M50 Swap + Mods

    **CAR IS SOLD**

I really really hate to do this. Due to mounting medical bills I'm toying with the idea of selling my car. In the end I may have no choice.

This car is the car that got me in E30s. My first E30 to be exact. It is a 1987 325i 4dr with close to 300k on the chasis but it has been maintained inside and out. The NV M50 was just swapped in this summer.

    Here is the Good..

NV M50 (mileage = 175k - motor came from wreck car that belonged to a local BFc enthusiast and was well kept)
    New Water Pump & Tstat
    New Pulleys and Serp Belt
    Getrag 260
    Lightened 12lb M20 flywheel
    Sachs E30 M20 clutch (less than 2k)
M50-M20 harness adapter by Ely Wineland (rs4pro3)
Custom Dual Exhaust w/ Ansa muffler
    Dinan NV M50 Chip
    New brake pads
    Drilled and slotted Brembo rotors
50% Tread left on Sumitomo tires
    3.73 Limited Slip Diff
    MCoupe SSK
    E36 Seats
E36 Steering Rack conversion (3.2 ratio)
    Powerflex Offset CABs
Bilstein Sport Suspension w/ IE Stage 3 lowering springs
Control Arms and Tie Rods have less than 20k on them
Euro Smiley Headlights with working city lights
    StarTec Smoked Tail Lights
    Houndsooth Black Door Panels
    Grey Carpet w/ Black Seats
88+ Rear Valance & Bumper Conversion
    Euro trim on bumpers
    iS Lip with RyanG Splitter
    MTech I Spoiler
    4dr Zender Side Skirts
Entire interior coated with sound mat before new interior was installed
Custom modified M50 Intake to keep OEM brake booster
    Electric SPAL Fan
    Custom Shadowline Trim

    The Meh..

Paint job is custom color PVE Go Mango Pearl (Dodge Daytona Charger) and it was done by a mutual friend in exchange for repairing his cylinder head. Needless to say the job was rushed and it has some bad spots. The rear lower valance did not recieve a good coat of paint and looks faded. It has a few chips as well. The iS lip has a visible scrape mark from a parking mishap. In my own opinion it is a 10ft paint job though it waxes up nice.

2 of the 16x7 Mille wheels are warped. No too bad but bad enough to feel it sometimes when you drive. Mostly between 55mph-60mph. Around 80-110 you can't feel a thing ;)

The lightened flywheel and stiffer E28 M5 engine mounts make for more noticeable drive train vibration at lower revs.

Headliner needs replacing and the passenger side B pillar cover is missing from the interior.

Few chips in shadowline trim from previously mounted ski rack.

    Foglights are sandblasted.

    The BAD..

    No A/C - Not hooked up - No M50 A/C compressor
Shitty CD Player - Radio works but sucks for CDs and faceplate constantly falls off
Rear passenger window motor is blown - does not roll down
Needs new E-Brake shoes - E-Brake barely holds it in place on a hill.
Odometer (of course) shows 236k (IIRC) which is dead wrong.
Sunroof doesn't move though the motor works. Might be the cables IDK.
CEL Light throws 1222 O2 sensor code but sensor is new and car runs great.. can't seem to figure out what the problem is. (I've taken $500 off price of car to compensate buyer to have a shop deal with it.) This car will still drive anywhere just fine.

Video of car and engine shown briefly in this YouTube video:

Would like to get $3000 for the car

Big bump for a awesome fucking car!! I can't count the hours that I have worked on this car with robert, and really hate to see it go. My wife wanted to buy it, but we are unable to come up the cash before his medical bills are due. This car pulls like a mother fucker and handles like it is on rails. The E36 seats are a nice upgrade as well. Everything on this car has been done right, it is clean with no rust. I love the zender kit on it, it really sets it off the car from other 4 door cars.
Anyway at this price it is a fucking steal.

        Bumpers

You can tell there is ALOT of work put into this car. Kudos.
I have a question. I have a 4dr 1987 E30, how did you get rid of/cover up the aluminum diving board bumpers? I keep wanting to get an 89+ but I would keep mine and not bother if I could just ditch the diving boards like has been done here.

        GL with the sale!

Search around, there is a lot of information on how to do it. Front is practically a direct swap but the rear is much more involved.

                    You are correct..

BTW here are some more shots at the request of interested parties.

There is a buffer scuff on the corner of the back bumper

The lower edge of the rear valance shows the paint fade.

Side skirts show a little wear where seam sealer was applied and a few chips

Engine bay was painted black right before I swapped the M50 in this summer.

Dash WAS crack free until this fall I got a small one on the passenger side. **Ignore the missing bolster - I am getting ready to replace it with an airbag bolster.

Please excuse the odds and ends. I was lucky enough to get the engine swapped in before the fall and there was some much more I planned on doing to this car but when I got sick this summer it all went to hell.

Someone with the time and knowhow could really finish this car up nicer that I can right now. I have a 91 318is and 89 325is project cars and I will soon be selling off one of those as well. Too much stuff, too many bills, and not enough time.

I've seen this car in person, and it really is as nice as Robert says, in fact I think he is being modest. The car looks great!

GL with the sale, let me see about my funds and I might make an offer!
