    Feeler: 1991 318IS 180k White, no rust...NH

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

I am throwing this out there to see if there is any interest in it. The car has 187k on it, starts every day. It needs some maintenance work that I have not gotten to. It will need front brakes, control arms, the power steering bottle leaks a bit, some other misc stuff. The car is clean, no rust at all. There are a few dings on it, the front fender has a softball size dent in it. The interior is black, the drivers seat is worn. It has the M3 shift knob and steering wheel. The car is pretty much all stock except I think it is chipped.

Again to be clear...the car does need work to pass inspection. It will need a tire or two due to the bad control arms up front one front tire is worn. Definately a good base for a project. The clutch is decent, I would think it would need to be replaced sometime in the future. It does not slip but once and a while you get a chatter starting off in 1st if you do not give it enough gas. I do not know if that is typical or not of these cars. Another thing is the antifreeze goes from the max line to the min line a thousand miles or so. I check the level once and a while, I probably only topped it off twice since I owned the car. Maybe a leaky head gasket...I am not 100% sure. The gauge cluster needles get sticky once and a while, a light tap on the dash does the trick. The dash board is MINT...no cracks at all, seems like the car was garaged most of its life. Ebrake cables are weak. The MAF by the radio works and the display is clear. The passenger side door handle sticks a bit. If I think of anything else I will post it up here...just want to be 100% honest with it so you know what you are getting. Any questions PM me or post here so others can read the responses.

The car is located in Manchester NH. Would be good for someone that could do the maintenance on the car themselves. I can give the new owner a killer deal on new parts as well, just make me a list of what you need once you buy the car. Asking $1500. I also have European smiley ecode headlights that can be included for an additional $200.

Here are some pictures of when I first got it last summer. I can get better pictures of under the hood and the interior as well.

I would love to buy it.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

Wow talk about a lot of PMs! If anyone is looking for a shipping quote I have used worryfreetransport.com a numerous amount of times. They are basically a broker for the smaller shipping companies. Their rates I found were very reasonable, and they do door to door pickup and drop off.

I will go grab some pictures later today...it is to cold to wash the car so bare with the dirty paint. Currently the front spoiler is missing. I am looking for another spoiler at the moment but may not find one before the car is sold. If anyone has an extra please PM me.

Here are some pics I just took. The car is dirty, but it will give you a good idea. There are some spots where you can see some surface rust from where the paint chipped off. The spots are NOT soft.

                  Surface rust from a dent...NOT soft...easily fixable.

Want to trade for an e28 535is? I would do the driving if that helps.
Either way, this is a very good deal.

Looks like it could be a very nice ride. I could throw on some suspension, and hold onto it until I get turbo money.
My e30 and e28 are both up for sale::
